Chapter 77: Sword and Whip 1

The leader of the Cheonggi Association, who had been handling the sail, said.

“The leader is currently staying at the waterway house downstream of the Yi Ryong River with his guest. We will follow the waterway to reach that location without crossing the river.”

Baek Moo-jin and Jin So-hye sat side by side on the seats prepared at the stern, as if they owned the ship, and nodded.

Baek Moo-jin said.

“Very well. But a guest?”

The captain sighed softly and replied.

“Should I call them lovers? Since they change so frequently, we simply refer to them as guests. This time, however, it seems to be lasting quite a while.”

Baek Moo-jin looked at Jin So-hye and said.

“A lover…”

Seeing the two maintain their calm demeanor throughout, the squad leader stepped away from the sail for a moment. He crossed his arms and gazed at the undulating river. Then, as if suddenly struck by a thought, he turned his head and looked at Baek Moo-jin.

“I thought ‘White Demon’ and ‘Red Demon’ were just wordplay, but you’re that White Demon who killed the Heavenly Dragon Sect Leader and the Heavenly Peak Sect Leader, aren’t you?”

Baek Moo-jin nodded in response.

“That’s right.”

“You killed both leaders alone?”

Baek Moo-jin shook his head and replied.

“It was a duel between two masters.”

Baek Moo-jin stated the facts plainly, and Jo Jang nodded.

“Still, that’s impressive. At such a young age.”
