Chapter 187: Heavenly Destiny – Volume 8
The commander of the Undercover Mages, impersonating the head of the Changcheon Sect, climbed onto the stage, spewing curses.
“You bastards dare to… Lord Baek…”
Baek Moo-jin, who had just slain one demon and was moving toward another, passed by the commander and spoke quietly.
“Commander, step down.”
Startled that Baek Moo-jin had recognized him immediately, the commander stammered in response.
“Yes.”
The commander descended back to the Chuangtian Sect disciples. Baek Moo-jin charged at the two Zhen gui who had been fighting the Duke of Dao, addressing the Duke as he did so.
“Your Excellency, it is Mujin.”
Baek Moo-jin examined the King of Tao and saw a minor wound on his forearm. Yet, as if it were no serious injury, the King of Tao’s voice boomed out, reverberating throughout the area.
“Good.”
The King smiled, sensing Baek Moo-jin’s energy and keeping him within his attack range. The blind King and Baek Moo-jin passed each other in a flash, swinging swords and blades as they began fighting the warriors. Initially, the King had been handling both alone. With Baek Moo-jin joining the fray, the two warriors were no match for them.
Meanwhile, Jin Sohye joined the King of Fists, and hidden weapons from the Sichuan Sect, flying in from somewhere, rained down on the back and neck of the demon.
They were Dang Guishun’s darts.
Dang Gwisun had been mingling among the crowd below the martial arts stage, throwing steel needles with precise, concise movements. Yet, as if determined to remain unseen, he threw the needles without alerting those around him, then slowly walked away and vanished.
