Chapter 104: My name is Dang Gwisun
At Baek Moo-jin’s words, the man became the guest Dang Gwi-sun.
He had lived under the name Dang Gwisun in the past. But how much he had hated that name. Even before he could take pride in the Dang family name, he loathed the name Gwisun.
Yet Baek Moo-jin addressed him as ‘Wugyeok Dang Gwisun.’
The man felt an alienation, as if Baek Moo-jin had redefined his very identity. Yet, despite meeting Baek Moo-jin face-to-face, he felt no killing intent emanating from him. This wasn’t entirely surprising, given the stark disparity he sensed the moment they sat down. In fact, the more they conversed and the more he looked into Baek Moo-jin’s eyes, the more his spirit shrank. Even his resolve to charge at Baek Moo-jin and die gloriously was beginning to waver.
Baek Moo-jin looked at the guest and said.
“Another drink?”
The guest looked back and forth between Baek Mujin and the bottle of liquor.
“I suppose so.”
The guest downed the drink Baek Moo-jin poured for him. Baek Moo-jin also drank a cup, his gaze fixed on the guest.
A strange silence settled over them.
Suddenly, Baek Moo-jin and the guest glanced around. People had been stealing glances at them before turning their heads away all at once.
Come to think of it, it had started the moment Baek Moo-jin revealed his name. The guest was more keenly aware that the number of people staring had increased.
Baek Moo-jin looked at the guest and said,
“Why are you wearing that mask? The alcohol has only turned your neck red.”
