Chapter 93
Poisonous Mushroom
Curiosity is a strange thing.
Even when something seems like a definite [no] or [a recipe for disaster], there’s a strange pull.
Of course, that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Curiosity is, after all, the instinct of all intelligent life.
And it’s through learning driven by curiosity that humanity has grown this much.
In fact, curiosity is akin to courage.
The courage to personally try something uncertain or dangerous.
And, though it’s a bit much to say myself.
If we’re talking courage, aren’t I the guy?
“…….”
I stared at the mushroom before me.
I’ve been thinking for a while, but the gist of what I’m saying is simple.
I want to take a bite out of that colorful mushroom in front of me.
Every edible food grants ‘Trial Points’…….
Doesn’t that mean this could too?
“Hey, Hun, don’t tell me.”
James, aware of my gaze, frowned.
“You’re going to eat that? Anyone can tell that eating that would cause at least a stomachache…….”
“I agree. We haven’t even properly scouted yet, and we don’t know how much food there is in the forest, so I don’t think we need to be picking up and eating things like that already. It looks like a poisonous mushroom, doesn’t it?”
Olena nodded in agreement with James.
My two teammates were against it.
“Hmm.”
I put my hand to my chin.
Is it because I’m a contrarian by nature?
For some reason, I want to do it even more when I’m told not to.
