Chapter 90
The Beginning of the Trial
“Aren’t you coming out?” Come out, you little bastards!”
The 51st participant’s resentful shout echoed through the clearing.
“Do you know how I flew all the way here? Huh? Is your time the only time that matters? What about mine?”
The man was yelling at Delilah, who hadn’t even appeared yet.
Other participants responded to the man’s bravery.
“That’s right, is there no basic courtesy here? I’d understand if we were late, but that’s not the case, is it?”
“They should at least explain properly. What is this, calling people here and doing nothing?”
“Is it because she’s a Ranker?”
Complaints from those who were pushed back in the order of arrival.
Frankly, I agreed.
They had every right to be dissatisfied.
If I were in their shoes, I would be pissed off and argue too.
‘Of course.’
Since I was already in the order of arrival, I had no intention of standing up for them.
When you think about it, they’re future competitors.
‘Tsk, they should have come earlier.’
I clicked my tongue inwardly and thanked Baekdon for providing transportation with an hour to spare.
“That’s right!”
“Come out! Come out and talk to us face to face!”
“I can’t go back like this, it’s too unfair!”
Just as the voices of the eliminated participants were about to grow even louder.
Swish!
Someone appeared from the air.
A sturdy man in black suit pants and a neatly tucked-in white shirt.
An unusual sword was tied around his waist, and his lowered eyes were bloodshot.
Murmur, murmur.
The surroundings buzzed with his appearance.
