Chapter 324
Chapter 324
“What, what?”
Lenin muttered in a panicked voice over the sudden wail of sirens.
“Why the siren?
Lenin could not understand why the sirens were sounding.
“I thought it was for emergencies only.
I created a siren with the upgrade, but I didn’t think I’d ever need to use it because I didn’t think I’d ever have an emergency.
“…Hmm?
When Lenin heard the sirens, he looked at Long Chen and Manjae and couldn’t help but shake his head.
“What’s wrong with her?
Long Chen and Man Jie were looking at each other, and their expressions were extremely grim.
“You can’t be…
Seeing the look on their faces, a sudden thought occurred to Lenin, and he opened his mouth in disbelief.
“Was it like this when the NPC came?”
“Yeah.”
“Uh.”
Long Chen and Manjae nodded at Lenin’s words.
Sigh
At Long Chen and Manjae’s reply, Lenin turned his head to look at the door, then smiled wryly and opened his mouth.
“Good timing. If that NPC is here, that’s great.”
I wasn’t sure if it was an NPC or not. I had to go out and check it out, but if it was an NPC, the timing was incredible.
“It’s 10 minutes before the meeting starts, so at least 400 people must have shown up. 400 people…. Hmm.”
Sigh
Lenin laughed slyly as he finished speaking, then turned his head to look at Long Chen and Manjae.
“Let’s go.”
After telling Long Chen and Manjae to go, Lenin opened the door and began walking toward the center hall. Long Chen and Manjae hesitated for a moment as Lenin started walking, but then they followed him.
“Giant coin flip!”
“Flip the coin!”
“It’s definitely an NPC.
As Lenin walked toward the main hall, he could hear the voices of his guildmates in his ears, and he was certain that an NPC had arrived. It could only mean one thing: they were using a skill.
Stop!
But after a while, Lenin was forced to stop walking.
“…?”
Stopping in his tracks, Lenin looked toward the concourse at the end of the hall with a puzzled expression.
“Mu, don’t back down!”
“Don’t run away, attack!”
The guild members appeared at the end of the hallway.
“What, what?
I was puzzled: why were the guild members being pushed from the spacious concourse to a corner at the end of a hallway?
“It’s just one guy!”
“That bastard’s got to be at the end of his rope, attack him!”
Lenin frowned as he listened to the rest of the guild.
‘That one guy… I’m pretty sure it’s that NPC.’
It must be the NPC that Long Chen and Manjae were talking about.
“This close?
That’s why I didn’t understand. Even the strongest NPCs have their limits. And even if they were NPCs, they still suffered the same debuffs for trespassing. But to lose like this?
Jumbled
Lenin started walking again. Soon enough, Lenin was able to reach the end of the hallway.
Boom!
At the same time, a fist appeared and struck the head of one of the two guilds in Lenin’s line of sight.
“Crazy! That’s a freaking billion!”
The guild member who was speaking in Moorish couldn’t finish and collapsed.
“Qi, Gilma, piha…”
The remaining guild members spotted Lenin and opened their mouths to shout.
Puck!
“Boom!”
However, the rest of the guild didn’t get to finish their sentence, as a flying fist followed and killed them.
“…”
Lenin looked at the two fallen guild members in a daze.
‘I thought we were backed into a corner, and then they went down…’
Clearly, the guild was cornered by an NPC, and the two guild members at the very end were dead. That could only mean one thing.
Jumbled
Soon, the fist’s master appeared, accompanied by footsteps. Lenin turned his gaze away from the two dead guild members and looked at the Fist Master. It was clearly the NPC that Long Chen and Manjae had spoken of.
“You’re alive, aren’t you?”
The master of the fist opened his mouth and spoke. Of course, the fist master wasn’t looking at Lenin; he was looking at Long Chen and Manjae behind him.
“Is he alive? Is he aware?
Lenin furrowed his brow. The NPC was clearly aware that Long Chen and Manjae had died and resurrected him.
“Is this really a special NPC?
Normal NPCs don’t recognize the death and resurrection of players, but special NPCs do recognize that dead players are resurrected. It was obviously a special NPC because it was talking.
“You’re the master of this guild, aren’t you?”
“…!”
Lenin’s thoughts were interrupted by a voice in his ear, and he quickly jumped back, but to no avail.
Whiz! Swoosh!
He stepped back, but the fist’s owner was even faster than he was and extended his fist. Lenin looked at the fist flying at him and thought, “I’m not going to make it.
“How can you do this so fast!
You’re under a debuff for breaking and entering. It’s a huge debuff that reduces all your stats by 20%. And yet he’s so fast?
“Shit.
Puck!
[He’s dead].
A fist crackled, a death message appeared, and Lenin’s vision went black.
Siaak
“…”
Lenin, no, Hwang Mun-Seok walked out of the capsule without saying a word. After stepping out of the capsule, Hwang Moon-seok continued walking, picked up the cell phone he had thrown on the bed, and dialed somewhere.
“Hey, Windows, it’s me.”
Soon, the call started.
“I’m in a bit of a guild situation… are you free? Let’s meet and talk.”
* * * * *
“So you’re going to go back and smash it?”
“Yep. I’m gonna smash it a couple more times, and then I’m gonna fuck it up.”
In response to Delay’s question, Ming Hu nodded.
“I’ll be right back.”
Ming Hu smiled as he finished speaking and began to walk out of the mansion.
“It’s more than yesterday.
Leaving the mansion, Ming Hu walked to the warp gate and thought to himself, I killed four people yesterday. The death penalty should have ended, so those four would have logged in, and if he was right, more would be staying at the Guild House.
“Where are you going?”
“Nexus.”
Arriving at the warp gate, Ming Hu opened his inventory, took out the gold, and handed it to the wizard. Ming Hu then warped to the Nexus’ warp gate.
Woof, woof, woof
After warping through the Nexus’ warp gate, Ming Hu began to walk toward the User Guild District, listening to the chatter of the players around him.
“Finally, tomorrow’s the reunion…
Ming Hu smiled at the sudden thought.
“Are there a lot of people coming?
I don’t know if it was because it was my first reunion or if it was just the thought of seeing familiar faces, but I was pretty excited.
That was the moment.
“My lord?”
Stop
Myung Hu was walking along, thinking about the reunion, when a voice called out to him, and he stopped and looked ahead.
“Oh.”
After identifying the voice, Ming Hu slightly bowed his head in greeting and opened his mouth to speak.
“Hello. Soma, it’s been a while.”
It was Soma who called Ming Hu.
“So, Soma-nim’s guild house used to be here.
Soma’s guild was the Pacific Guild, and the Pacific Guild’s guildhouse was located in the User Guild District.
“Yes, I haven’t seen you in a long time.”
Soma smiled at Ming Hu’s words.
“Oh, and I heard about it from my brother.”
“…?”
Ming Hu was puzzled by Soma’s next words. What do you mean, you heard a story from your brother? What does that mean? Reading the expression on Ming Hu’s face, Soma continued.
“I saw you when you were catching Arudosa.”
“Oh.”
Ming Hu let out a short sigh.
“I wonder if that female user was Soma’s sister.
I knew they were in the same guild, so I thought they might know each other, but I never expected them to be siblings.
“You’re so strong. Ha-ha-ha, but…”
Soma trailed off and looked at Ming Hu.
“What brings you here… is it possible…”
He continued cautiously. Ming Hu smiled and shook his head, realizing what Soma was trying to say.
“I’m not here to join a guild, but I have an appointment with a guild here.”
“Oh.”
Soma let out a short gasp, this time at Ming Hu’s words.
“I see…”
Soma let out a sigh and nodded ruefully.
“I’ll leave you to it, then. Have fun.”
Ming Hu turned to Soma, who nodded, and began walking again.
Sigh
Soma thought as he watched the back of Ming Hu’s head as he walked past him to somewhere.
“What do you mean, “some guild”?
I wondered if Ming Hu, who had casually killed a high-level demon, was a guild with business to attend to? No, beyond curious, this was something I had to know.
-Margaret to: Soyeon.
Soma whispered to her sister, Master Margaret of the Pacific Guild, as she watched the shrinking figure behind her.
-Margaret: Why?
Soon, Margaret whispered to me.
-Dear Margaret: Ming Hu has arrived.
Soma whispered to Margaret again and began to walk behind the now very small Minghu.
-Margaret: What?
-Dear Margaret: I hear you have an appointment at some guild, and I’m following you. I’ll find out which guild it is and whisper back.
-Margaret: Uh, okay.
Finished whispering to Margaret, Soma moved away from Ming Hu unnoticed and slowly followed behind.
“…is that it?
Soon, Ming Hu stopped walking and walked into the guild house. As Ming Hu entered the guild house, Soma quickly approached the guild house that Ming Hu had entered, and checked to see which guild’s guild house it was.
“…Gold bars?
The guild house that Ming Hu was in was the guild house of a guild called Goldbar.
‘Wait a minute. If it’s a gold bar…’
Soma frowned slightly at the name of the guild, Goldbar. Then she quickly whispered to Margaret.
-Margaret to: Soyeon.
-Margaret: Yes!
Margaret, who had been waiting for Ming Hu’s arrival, quickly whispered back, and Soma sent her a whisper as soon as it arrived.
-Dear Margaret: A guild called Goldbar. Isn’t she part of our alliance?
-Margaret: Uh, yeah, that’s right, from our alliance. But why? Did you join that guild?
-Dear Margaret: Yeah….
Soma thought as she answered Margaret and looked toward the Guild House in Goldbar.
“I wonder what you need to see…
I couldn’t wait to find out what was going on.
“I’ll have to ask.
Soma decided to ask later and turned around and started walking. He had to get out of here before Ming Hu came out.
