Chapter 246
Facing a dragon so vast it seemed to tear the heavens and earth apart, the shadow colossus rose to its feet.
It was a clash straight out of myth, and before their confrontation, any other war seemed utterly meaningless.
The golden dragon roared, and simultaneously, its tail struck down.
The Shadow Lord, whose pitch-black tentacles coiled endlessly, simply extended his arm. Simultaneously, the darkness enveloping his body began to swirl like a storm.
A power beyond comparison to anything Dale had unleashed thus far, absurdly immense.
As the Shadow Lord, a might capable of literally shattering the world itself surged forth.
Simultaneously, the world beneath his feet was engulfed in an endless light.
It was the dawn’s first light, driving away the darkness of night. Scattering that endless light of dawn, the world unfolded by the Golden Sovereign swallowed the entire area endlessly.
“What do you know of the golden dragon, you worthless creature?”
The golden dragon roared.
“Behold this brilliantly shining dawn.”
“Dawn.”
Dale replied flatly.
“Was it so difficult to accept the natural order—the sun rises, darkness falls, and the sun rises again?”
“Do we not all know the truth that this world will ultimately end in darkness?”
“None of my concern.”
Dale spat out coldly, as if it were someone else’s affair.
“Just as you desperately tried to protect this world, I too tried to protect my own. They were likely the same.”
It was not speaking of a single world from a past life. The innocent ones who were sacrificed to the empire’s ambition and to the experiment seeking to reach the world of truth. They too had their own worlds.
