Chapter 117
Deep within the labyrinth. The heirs of the two duke houses were there. Facing a monster revealing its malice toward them.
It was an absurdly enormous spider, over ten meters in total length.
But the strangeness of its existence lay not merely in its size.
The spider’s legs were formed by human limbs nearly several meters long, and furthermore, attached to the spider’s eyeballs were human faces. Each wore an utterly bizarre expression of joy, anger, sorrow, or pleasure, yet regardless of the expression they wore, every single one was shedding tears. They were tears of blood.
A monstrous creature, as if the bodies of a dozen people had been dissected piece by piece and reassembled into the form of a spider. Its existence was not that of an easily recognizable monster like an orc. It was a clearly aberrant being, even by this world’s standards.
“How interesting.”
Seeing its form, Mikhail Lancaster spoke.
“I’ve heard the tales enthusiasts spin about the Great Labyrinth of the Demon King’s Realm.”
“Stories of ancient demonic beings, I suppose.”
“The human bodies composing that monster—are they the victims sacrificed to their experiments?”
“I don’t know.”
“The connoisseurs say that the ancient demon race still waits for its time in the deepest recesses of this great labyrinth.”
“I’m amazed where on earth you picked up such a story.”
Dale didn’t answer. He didn’t know everything about this Demon King’s Realm either.
