Chapter 111
In the white and dark winter night, a castle of pitch-black stone stood alone and towering.
The castle’s solitary lord was there.
A grand hall in the gloomy Flamboyant Gothic style.
Like a medieval Gothic cathedral, the castle was filled with an overwhelmingly gloomy grandeur.
And there, visible from afar, stood a throne of black gold, towering high enough to overlook the entire region.
The ‘Black Prince’ was seated there.
Not upon the frozen, darkened earth below, but reigning as lord of that very castle.
The Fortress of Solitude.
The newly overlaid world of thought as the ‘Ruler of the Demon King’s Realm’.
The rampaging artifact of darkness and the dark mage it had taken as its host were also there.
And to expel that unwelcome guest, Dale’s world began to move.
The lonely fortress erected upon the land of emptiness—in other words, this was ‘Dale’s Empire’.
“Rise, my knights.”
At the sovereign’s command, the immortal knights, who never rested nor ceased, rose to their feet.
The Order of the Dead Knights.
Simultaneously, the jet-black sword in the dark mage’s hand swung, scattering black petals once more.
But the scattering black petals did not cast any shadow over Dale’s world.
The bitter cold and darkness stretching endlessly beyond the castle walls began to sweep into the great hall.
The temperature plummeted rapidly, and a layer of white frost coated the entire interior.
This place was the world of the ‘Black Prince’, an empire, a fortress.
