Chapter 52: Walking into the Trap
The world spun around him, and as the light faded, Gu Shiyi found himself inside a wooden hut.
“Huh? What’s going on? Isn’t it too early for the shift change? Damn it, craving wine again?”
A man pushed the door open, yawning as he entered. Seeing the youth standing on the formation, his mind went blank. Just as he opened his mouth to ask, the youth suddenly lunged toward him.
He was fast; in the blink of an eye, he was right in front of the man. One hand clamped over the man’s mouth, while the other gently closed the door.
His strength was as immense as a bull’s, leaving the man completely unable to move.
*Crack~*
The man heard a faint snap, his head tilted to the side, and his breath ceased.
Gu Shiyi looked down. The man’s frame was quite thin and gaunt, similar to his own.
He immediately stripped the man’s clothes, put them on, and pushed the door open to step outside.
“Hey, what did you go into that room for?”
As soon as he stepped out, Gu Shiyi saw more than a dozen rooms around him. Their doors were wide open, and dozens of men inside were drinking alcohol and eating meat.
Several weapon racks stood near the entrances, filled with various arms.
A bonfire burned in the courtyard, with two chairs set up beside it. The person speaking was a burly man holding a woman in his arms, presumably the chief of the Bandit Relief Gang.
Sprawled out lazily on the other chair was none other than Liu Feng.
“Hey you, go toss that bundle of firewood in too. I’m freezing to death.”
