Chapter 49: Bandit Relief Gang
The mountain stronghold of the Bandit Relief Gang.
A massive pile of gold and silver was laid out in the yard.
Several burly men walked over one after another, brushing their hands across their Universe Rings and tossing large amounts of wealth into the heap.
The bonfire flickered, and the crowd let out wild, howling cheers.
Seated at the very top was the leader of the Bandit Relief Gang, Shen Kui.
Shen Kui had a full beard, with a hideous scar stretching from each corner of his mouth to his ears.
The scars were gruesome, as if someone had torn his face open.
In his arms lay a slender woman wearing very little, her snow-white shoulders exposed to the air.
She was Shen Kui’s wife, Li Sanniang.
Beside Shen Kui stood another seat, where Liu Feng lay sprawled out, holding his stomach with one hand. Thick bandages were wrapped around his waist, heavily stained with blood.
“Liu Feng, you did well.”
Shen Kui grinned and gave Liu Feng a thumbs-up. The latter rolled his eyes and cursed, “Well, my ass. The old bastard still managed to slash me. Fuck.”
Li Sanniang said, “Liu Qiong is an old veteran of the world, vicious and cunning. To trick that old fool was no easy feat.”
“Hmph,” Liu Feng sneered. “The old bastard was always arrogant. Of course he didn’t expect me to suddenly poison him. By the way, where is my younger brother, Liu Song? Bring him up!”
A burly man walked over and tossed a gunny sack onto the ground.
