Chapter 41: Demonic Painting
Lu Jianjia took a step forward, only to fall straight down!
There was no dirt or ground outside the wooden door; darkness surrounded everything, and this room floated right in the middle of it!
Lu Jianjia gripped the wooden door with all her strength. The door creaked and groaned as it swayed, swinging her back and forth along with it.
She looked down to find a bottomless abyss beneath her feet.
Suddenly, her body felt light, and the next moment, she landed beside the scrawny youth.
“This is the work of a fangshi.”
Gu Shiyi spoke with a furrowed brow. Lu Jianjia bit her lower lip and turned around. “I didn’t even notice when I fell into it.”
Her eyes fell onto the wall, where a painting hung.
The painting was extremely strange; it depicted this very room, except the entire room in the painting was enveloped in darkness.
“When we first entered this room this afternoon, I thought it was odd. Why would a painting hanging in the room look identical to the room itself?”
The young girl walked up to the painting and examined it closely.
“Furthermore, back then, the background outside in the painting was white, but now everything outside the room is pitch-black.”
At that moment, the painting on the wall suddenly changed.
The room’s door opened, and strokes of white ink fell, sketching three white malevolent ghosts outside the house.
The girl’s expression shifted drastically. Gu Shiyi whipped his head around to look, and sure enough, three malevolent ghosts had appeared outside the house.
